PacWest Conference Weekly Awards (Mar. 19)

IRVINE, Calif. – Once again displaying her versatile talents in Academy of Art Softball's Southern California roadtrip, pitcher Brooke Larsen (10-2) was selected for her fourth Pacific West Conference Freshman of the Week this season. The award was based on games played Mar. 12-18.

In ART U's 3-3 week, Larsen offered a 1.40 ERA with two wins, two complete games, and just four earned allowed runs with 23 strikeouts in 20.0 innings of work. As a hitter, the Sacramento native went 6-for-19 (.316) with two runs batted in, a double, and three runs scored. Larsen tossed her fourth collegiate complete shutout and went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and RBI in a 5-0 victory over Azusa Pacific on Mar. 14. Three days later, the Graphic Design major limited one of the top offenses in the PacWest, No. 17 Concordia, to just one run on five hits in her 10th victory of the season.

The fastest ART U player to register 10 wins in her career, Larson leads the PacWest in complete games (11) and innings pitched (90.1), is second in strikeouts (106), and tied for second in wins (10). As a hitter, she is tied for eighth in the conference in doubles (8).

This is the fourth PacWest weekly honor of Larsen's career after she earned three awards the first four weeks (Feb. 5, Feb. 12, Feb. 19).
