Kayla Vaughan, junior infielder
Audrey Allen, and senior catcher
Liberty Herrera was recognized in Tuesday's announcement of the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team selections.

The 2025 Academic All-District softball teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Leading the quintet of honorees, Glover worked toward a 3.75 cumulative grade point average in the School of Animation & Visual Effects while regularly serving as the team's first baseman and designated player. The native of Sammamish, Wash. started all 48 games she played in, scoring seven runs with four runs batted in, two doubles, one triple, and two stolen bases.
Glover highlighted her junior campaign by tripling for the first time in her career against Vanguard on
Mar. 29, driving in a pair versus Jessup on
Apr. 18, and collecting three multi-hit games on the season.

A 3.73 cumulative GPA in the School of Communications & Media Technologies was signed off by Folks who closed her collegiate career with plenty of productivity and reliability. Across her 50 starts, the senior led the team with 18 walks (12th in the Pacific West Conference), adding 15 runs scored, 12 runs batted in, eight doubles, and five stolen bases.
Folks, who played at least 15 games at four different positions in her ART U career, helped support her place among the program's top 10 in career walks (42) by posting a 10-game reached base streak (second-longest on the team in 2025) in addition to having one of her six multi-hit games, a 2-for-4 effort, feature three driven in versus Simon Fraser on
Feb. 19.
Showing her versatility not only on the softball field but in the classroom as well, Vaughan ranked among the PacWest leaders in multiple pitching categories, provided offense with the bat, and posted a 3.72 cumulative GPA in the School of Illustration. The native of San Diego ended her sophomore season second in the PacWest in complete games (15), fifth in innings pitched (151.1), and seventh in strikeouts (67) across 23 starts and 34 pitching appearances while adding 12 runs scored, six runs batted in, and three stolen bases in 47 starts as a hitter.

One of Vaughan's team-best eight wins came as a one-hitter versus Northwest Nazarene on
Mar. 27 in which she struck out five and drove in two herself. Two weeks later, she notched the second shutout of her collegiate career with six hits and one walk allowed plus another season-best five strikeouts against Menlo on
Apr. 11 en route to being named
PacWest Pitcher of the Week.
The team's leader at the plate in 2025, Allen was particularly strong in the School of Interior Architecture & Design, logging a 3.60 cumulative GPA. The native of Gig Harbor, Wash. remained a doubles machine, ranking fourth in the conference in the category (15) in addition to top 30 in slugging percentage (.471), batting average (.325), runs scored (23), and runs batted in (20). She started all 51 games and delivered two home runs, one triple, and four stolen bases as well.

Owner of a .325 batting average, 14 multi-hit games, and five multi-RBI games (three runs batted in on four occasions), Allen marked the year with a nine-game hit streak that was second-longest on the team. History came for the infielder as well as she broke the program's single-game record with three doubles versus Hawaii Pacific on
Mar. 17 and ended her junior season with the fifth-most doubles (35) in an Urban Knight career.
A dependable fixture behind home plate, Herrera also demonstrated her academic consistency with a 3.53 cumulative GPA in the School of Fashion Design. One of four Knights to start all 51 games, doing so at catcher, she led the PacWest in runners caught stealing (17),
rebreaking the ART U single-season record she set last year. The native of Magnolia, Texas was also top 25 in the conference in fielding percentage (.985) and, with the bat, added 19 runs batted in (second on team), 13 runs scored, eight doubles, and two home runs, one stolen base.

Herrera highlighted the year by homering against Dominican on
Mar. 1 and versus UH Hilo on
Mar. 15 and driving in three against Chaminade on
Mar. 24. Following a dramatic walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth against Concordia on
Apr. 25, she fittingly broke the aforementioned single-season runners caught stealing record with her last on
Senior Day.
These are the second CSC Academic All-District honors for Folks and Herrera in their respective careers while it is the first time Glover, Vaughan, and Allen have been selected.
