KNIGHT WATCH

As a team, Academy of Art has hit 14 doubles in April as junior infielder
Audrey Allen has led the way offensively. Her 14 hits for two bases this season (third in PacWest, fifth in ART U single-season history) have propelled a .322 batting average and 20 runs batted in. In her career, Allen's 34 doubles are the sixth-most in program history (eight from the record). Meanwhile, sophomore outfielder
Ari Mallari is second on the team in batting average (.260) and runs scored (19) in addition to joining five others with double-digit runs batted in including
Liberty Herrera (18), freshman infielder
Riannah Maulupe (18), Folks (11), and Grayhorse-Pupecki (11).
Just six PacWest pitchers have thrown 141.0 or more innings this season and the ART U duo of junior pitcher
Kamielle Powell (3-21) and sophomore pitcher/utility
Kayla Vaughan (7-15) is among them. Powell has 150.1 innings to her name (second in PacWest) along with 11 complete games (sixth in PacWest) and 65 strikeouts (fourth in PacWest) while Vaughan has added the most complete games in the conference (15) across 141.0 innings pitched (fifth in PacWest) and 61 strikeouts (sixth in PacWest). In Powell's career, she is up to 351. Innings of work (fifth in ART U history).
GOLDEN EAGLES SOARING IN
After starting the season 9-2 before its PacWest opener, Concordia won its first seven conference games then later endured a 2-6 stretch in which Jessup, Dominican, and Azusa Pacific took wins from the Golden Eagles. CUI has since rebounded by besting No. 18 Cal State San Marcos and splitting with both Biola and APU. First in the PacWest in team ERA (1.89) by a sizeable margin, Concordia relies on the trio of Kacie Gossett (11-2), Bella Calvo (5-2), and Kailey Estes (9-13), whose 1.56, 1.75, and 1.80 ERAs rank second through fourth respectively in the PacWest while Kayla Rodgers paces the team in .389 batting average (sixth in PacWest) and extra-base hits (21). The historical matchup between ART U and CUI favors the latter 25-1.
PACWEST SERIES FINISHES WITH WARRIORS OVER URBAN KNIGHTS
