Biography

2016: Led the team in several different categories including: wins (4), innings pitched (87.2), strikeouts (48), batting average against (.269), nd tied for the most complete games (3)...Bovee was twice named PacWest Newcomer of the Week (April 25, May 11).

College of Southern Nevada: Bovee made 13 appearances and threw 18 2/3 innings in his sophomore year with the Coyotes, holding opponents to a .253 batting average and helping lead CSN to a Scenic West Athletic Conference title, a District 18 championship and within one victory from getting into the National Junior College Athletic Association World Series...posted a 2.35 ERA his freshman season and a 10-to-1 strikeouts-to-walks (20-2) ratio in 11 appearances and 23 innings pitched.

Palo Verde High School: Spent two years at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colo...won a Colorado State Championship with his legion team and led the team in ERA and innings pitched...played his final two years at Palo Verde High School and posted a 2.08 ERA his senior year with a .226 batting average against in 33.2 innings pitched...also batted .328 with six doubles and 13 runs batted in throughout 71 plate appearances.

Personal: Bovee was born in Santa Monica, Calif. and spent his youth in the San Fernando Valley before moving to Colorado, then Nevada...he is fathered by Philip Bovee and is a sibling to Jacob and Rebecca.
