PacWest Baseball Weekly Awards May 11

IRVINE, Calif. - Junior right hander Brett Bovee tossed his third complete game of the season in Friday's series opener against Holy Names. The Las Vegas native allowed just one earned run (two total) on two hits, no walks, and a career-high 10 strikeouts. His punchouts were the second-most ever thrown by an ART U pitcher in a single game.

The junior also threw two complete-game shutouts this year which was the second-best mark in the conference. Furthermore, his 87.2 innings pitched were the third-most in the PacWest and he led the Urban Knights with 48 strikeouts.
 
This is Bovee's second PacWest Newcomer of the Week Award this season.
