2023 ABCA NCAA Division II Region All-Defensive Teams
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Following an impressive season in which he never made an error in over 80 chances and was among the regional leaders in outfield assists, Academy of Art baseball graduate student outfielder
Landon Levine was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association West Region All-Defensive Team on Thursday.
One of just two Urban Knights to play in and start all 48 games, Levine proved to be a flawless right fielder for ART U. He made no errors across his 84 chances while recording 73 putouts. Making up his 11 outfield assists (second in the West Region only to 15 from Saint Martin's Alohi Arecchi) were four different games in which he logged two assists including one double play which preserved a tie score in extra innings before Academy of Art walked off for a 4-3 win over Holy Names on
Mar. 11.
Levine is the second Urban Knight in program history to be awarded West Region All-Defensive Team honors following
Joseph Marchini's 2016 selection. Marchini recorded just one error in his 124 chances with 10 outfield assists that year.
