2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Nationals Results (Day 2)
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Inside Fall Creek Pavilion, Academy of Art track & field's first two days of the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships were highlighted by
Lina Hanich qualifying through from the 800m prelims to the final.
Leading for nearly the entirety of the day's opening 800m heat, Hanich clocked the second-fastest time of her career at 2:07.37 across the finish line. The native of Paderborn, Germany would end up fifth overall, punching her ticket to the first final of her career in the event. One heat after Hanich,
Michaela Andrews went 2:15.41 for 17th place overall.
Friday's action also saw
Ajani Ince become an All-America Second Team honoree with his performance in the 200m dash prelims. Just off the time of his heat winter, Washburn's Ezekiel Seamster (21.23), Ince ran his third-fastest time of the season at 21.26 to end in 11th overall, just 0.03 seconds from reaching the final.
On Thursday, Ince also contested the 60m dash prelims where he placed third in his heat at 6.75. It was his 11th time running a sub-6.80 mark this season and had him just 0.07 seconds from the cutoff for making the event's final. Additionally,
Josh Marlin posted a time of 48.11 in the 400m prelims, finishing less than a second from the eighth and final spot to qualify for the final.
Championship Saturday will feature Urban Knights in three events including
Yacouba Gnacko in the triple jump (9 a.m. PT),
Lina Hanich in the 800m (1 p.m. PT), and the men's 4x400m relay (2:35 p.m. PT).
