KNIGHT WATCH

At 7-6 overall and 1-5 in PacWest play, Academy of Art is supported by its strong start to the year with wins over SF State (
Nov. 8), Cal State Monterey Bay (
Nov. 9), Cal Maritime (
Nov. 12), Stanislaus State (
Nov. 16), Sonoma State (
Nov. 21), UC Merced (
Dec. 1), and Chaminade (
Dec. 21). ART U remains the top team in the Pacific West Conference in terms of lowest opponent field goal percentage (.344 as well as rebounds per game (41.5).
Sporting an active streak of having at least seven different players score at 13 games this season (19 straight dating back to the end of last year), the Urban Knights look to senior forward
Yasmine Sifaoui as the team's scoring leader (11.4 points per game, 20th in PacWest) with the conference's second-best field goal percentage (.504). Junior guard
Alba Rovira Ayuso (8.5) and senior forward/center
Christy Ojide Boiko (8.5) share the next to slots on the team in terms of points per game as Academy of Art carries seven different Knights averaging at least 5.4 points per game. With 6.5 rebounds per contest ranked 11th overall in the PacWest, Ojide Boiko can be found just behind freshman forward
Keira Mitchell in blocks per game with the latter at 1.0 (seventh in PacWest) and the former with 0.9 (ninth in PacWest).
Up to 549 career rebounds, Ojide Boiko has moved up to fourth in ART U history overall while assuming the sixth position among Urban Knights at 319 career defensive rebounds. Additionally,, Ojide Boiko now needs just one block to reach the milestone of 100 in her career. Sophomore guard
Lucia Revenga finds herself 11th in the PacWest in assists per game (2.5) and tied with fellow sophomore guard
Anna Fornells for eighth in the conference in steals per game (1.8).
WEDNESDAY WARRIORS
After winning back-to-back games against Sonoma State and Chico State early on, Jessup proceeded to triumph in five straight including conference matchups with Westmont and Dominican, but have since fallen in four consecutive contests including a 63-60 overtime loss to Biola most recently. Ranked second in the PacWest in opponent points allowed per game (59.2), the Warriors, who are 5-3 at home thus far, are led by Andrea Jovicevic's 12.4 points (12th in PacWest) and 6.1 rebounds per contest (13th in PacWest). Wednesday will not be the first time Academy of Art and Jessup have faced off as three previous meetings across 2008-2010 have seen the Knights in front 2-1 all-time.
OAKLANDER OBSERVATIONS
