Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout (Rounds 1 & 2)

ALAMEDA, Calif. – Monday saw Academy of Art men's golf complete each of the first two rounds of the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout hosted at Corica Park Golf Course, with the Urban Knights currently sitting in 14th place with a combined score of 23-over-par 599. 

Leading the way for ART U through the first two rounds was senior Allan Osornio in a tie for 26th place at 1-under-par 143. In the first day of competition, Osornio tallied eight birdies total with five coming in the second runthrough.

Next up is junior Giulio Zanichelli, who is tied for 32nd place at 1-over-par 145, with his best round being the first where he shot an 1-under-par 71. With another trio of competitors in the competition for ART U, junior Anson Pan is next up for the Knights with his 8-over-par 152, while senior Jack DeBenedetti is next up with a 15-over-par 159 as sophomore Jerah Venkaiya follows thereafter with his 21-over-par 165.

Through two rounds, Western New Mexico soars over its competitors with a 13 stroke lead over second place Sonoma State as the Mustangs have combined to shoot a 22-under-par 154 with three members in the top 10. Tyler Ashman of Chico State leads the way in individual play, as his 8-under-par 136 is one stroke ahead of five other competitors.

The Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout will see round three tomorrow as it will conclude the competition.
