2021 Nighthawks Invitational Results (Day 1)
LIVERMORE, Calif. -- Led by junior
Matthew Watkins among the top 10 individually, Academy of Art men's golf finds itself fifth as a team behind four teams tied for first after the first day of action at the Nighthawks Invitational at Poppy Ridge Golf Course on Monday.
Watkins tied for eighth overall with a 4-over-par 76 through the first 18 holes while junior
Julius Kreutzer finished with the most birdies on the day (4) and one stroke back of his teammate tied for 16th with a 5-over-par 77. Senior
Otto Homruen posted a 6-over-par 78 to tie for 21st while senior
Gabriel De Leon Manotoc was 41st.
Sonoma State, Cal State East Bay, Western Washington, and Saint Martin's are the four teams tied for first with team totals of 307 while the Urban Knights sit fifth five strokes back with a 312. WWU's Aidan Thain leads all competitors matching par with a 72.
