KNIGHT WATCH
Senior forward
Josh Hill led three Urban Knights in double figures with 20 points in ART U's only contest last week, but it wasn't enough to overcome a tough Fresno Pacific team that shot 58.5 percent from the floor for the game,
falling by a final of 87-75. His eight rebounds and three steals were also a team highs, while junior guard
Christian Popoola Jr. added 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and a block.
After scoring 17 points in the last time out against FPU, senior guard Stefan Miliivojevic has now bumped his season average up to match at 17.0 points per game,
the highest on the Urban Knights and fifth most in the PacWest. Checking in behind him in the scoring is Hill, who is averaging a double-double at 15.8 points per game (on 51.1 percent shooting) and
a PacWest-leading 12.4 rebounds per game. On a national level, Hill remains tied for 25th in double-doubles this season with five. Senior guard
Joshua Bagley leads the team in assist average with 4.0 per game, a mark that also makes him fourth in the PacWest.
RECORD CHASING
With his first bucket against Dominican on Feb. 13, Milivojevic became the first player in
ART U men's basketball history to reach 1,000 points, joining women's basketball alumni Jasmin Guinn, Regina Camera, Zoie Sheng, and Sha'Nice Storey in the Urban Knights 1,000-point club.
A strong year on the glass means that Hill now has 344 rebounds in his ART U career, just 33 boards shy of second place in ART U
career rebounds behind former teammate
Victor Ruiz de Carranza's 377. The senior forward continues to increase his lead in career rebounding average with the Urban Knights, snatching an impressive 9.1 rebounds per game in 38 career contests.
JUICED UP FOR THE JACKS
lt will be the first action of the season for Humboldt State, and it will also be a different look on the court, as HSU returns none of its top three scorers from last season. Last season the Jacks finished in 12th place, and averaged 77.2 points per game but had a scoring margin of -5.6. The team is comprised of primarily upperclassmen, made up of two seniors and 11 juniors, but also features seven underclassmen. The Jacks have only ever faced off against the Urban Knights twice in history, and have won both matchups, the
last coming in Nov. 2013.
