KNIGHT WATCH
19663With two of triples in its last four games, Academy of Art has now tied the program's single-season record with 10 triples while ranking third in the PacWest. Currently tied with Concordia's Sydney Sprinke for the conference-lead in home runs (nine), catcher Lauryn Henderson just three long balls from breaking the ART U single-season record while hitting .425 (second in PacWest) and supporting a conference-best .783 slugging percentage (on pace to break the program's single-season record). The team's two top base stealers who are both hitting .300 or higher, junior outfielder Gabi Hirsch (.313, 12 SB) and junior utility Dominique Seva'aetasi (.300, 15 SB), remain the Knights' one-two punch at the top of the lineup. Besides Henderson, the Urban Knights' power and run production has come from Youngquist who, after elevating her batting average to .287 with a 3-for-5 effort on Senior Day, has four homers and a team-best 31 runs batted in (seventh in PacWest). After becoming the program's career walks leader earlier this season, the Acting major remains in the hunt for the home run career record as she needs one to tie Alana Aweau's 21 and two to break. Still fourth in the conference with a team-best three triples thus far, freshman utility Nikki West has nine extra-base hits (third behind Henderson's team-best 20 and Seva'aetasi's 10).

Sophomore Cecilia Lopez (9-7) has issued the fewest walks among PacWest pitchers with 51.0 innings or more, surrendering only 17 free passes in 109.0 innings of work. She remains sixth in the conference with a 2.38 earned run average and the fifth-most complete games in the PacWest (13) through 17 starts.

DUELING DOMINICAN
After being swept by the Urban Knights this past weekend, Dominican bounced back with two victories over Holy Names on Apr. 29. The Penguins remain ninth in the PacWest standings as one of just two teams with fewer than 10 conference victories. Two Dominican hitters, McKenzie Schumacher (.370, 26 R, 25 SB) and Peyton Mott (.303, 25 R, 18 RBI), are hitting over .300 and two pitchers, Rosa Leguria (2-5, 4.76 ERA) and Kathryn Caravalho (1-5, 4.96 ERA), have dropped their ERAs under 5.00. The Urban Knights hold a 28-12 advantage over Dominican in the all-time matchup.

SENIOR DAY SENDOFF SEES ART U SWEEP DOMINICAN
In an emotional home finale that featured a Senior Day ceremony honoring utility Katie Tablada and infielder Brenna Youngquist, Academy of Art softball came from behind to defeat Dominican twice out at Mission Blue Field on Apr. 27. A two-run rally highlighted by sophomore catcher Lauryn Henderson's ninth home run of the year came midway through the first contest and put ART U in front 2-1 while junior pitcher Hannah Rose Balke (7-12) limited the Penguin offense for six consecutive innings. In game two, Dominican jumped ahead 3-2 in the fifth, but the Urban Knights scored three in the sixth to eventually win 6-3, securing the sweep.
