PacWest Players of the Week (March 13, 2018)
 
IRVINE, Calif. – Junior Alma Thell-Lenntorp was named this week's PacWest women's tennis Player of the Week after producing a perfect, 6-0 week which included three wins in both singles and doubles.
 
In singles, Alma went 3-0 last week which included a win over No. 4 Hawaii Pacific's Debora Echeverria. In her following two contests, she never surrendered more than two games in a match and won in straight sets in all three.
 
Alma was just as successful in doubles, going 3-0 in those matches as well. Ranked No. 6, Alma and her twin, Klara Thell-Lenntorp took down two regionally ranked opponents this week (all in the first position), including HPU's No. 1 duo who they defeated for the first time in five meetings (also the Sharks' first doubles loss of the year).
 
This is the second PacWest Player of the Week award for Alma in her career, as she also received the distinction in 2017.
