No. 7 Academy of Art versus Stanislaus State Final Statistics
 
SAN FRANCISCO – Making their 2018 home debut, No.7 Academy of Art women's tennis defended their turf in a big way, sweeping Stanislaus State by the score of 9-0.
 
In doubles, all three teams were victorious and never conceded more than four games in any position. Up top, the No. 6-ranked twins, Alma Thell-Lenntorp and Klara Thell-Lenntorp, finished first while nearly blanking their opponents with an 8-1 score. In both the second and third spots, the ART U tandems took care of business in 8-3 fashion.
 
Heading into singles with a 3-0 lead, the Urban Knights needed just two singles wins to come away victorious. Academy of Art achieved that and much more, taking all six matches in straight sets to complete the sweep. In fact, not a single Urban Knight allowed their adversary to win more than four games in a single set. Both recording wins today, juniors Paula Alcantara and K. Thell-Lenntorp are now both 2-0 in singles to start the season.
 
Academy of Art's next match will take place in exactly one week when they host No. 18 Sonoma State on February 11 at 1:00 p.m.
