HOME COOKING
After going 1-1 in Hawaii and winning four out of their last six games overall, Academy of Art returns home for their longest homestand of the season. Their four-game stretch begins with Dominican, Holy Names, and Chaminade.

All three of ART U's contests tip off at 7:30 p.m. with their first game coming against Dominican on January 10. The other two matchups take place on the 13th (Holy Names) and the 14
th (Chaminade).

KNIGHTS OF KNOTE
Junior center
Cameron Niven has played a big role in his first year with the Urban Knights. Most recently, he posted a pair of solid performances during the team's trip to Hawaii. In the
first contest against Hawaii Pacific, he led the team with 12 points and six rebounds, while also contributing a block and an assist. In the following game, Niven led his team to a
victory over UH Hilo with another 12-point performance. This time, he compiled seven boards along with two assists and a career-high, three blocks.

PENGUINS STRUGGLE WITH THREE-STRAIGHT LOSSES
After going 2-1 to begin their PacWest schedule, Dominican has dropped their last three matchups at the hands of: Point Loma, California Baptist, and Dixie State. Jeremiah Gray has been the Penguins' biggest offensive contributor so far this season, averaging 20.3 points per game which is the second-highest mark in the conference.

ON A HAWK STREAK
Holy Names comes into this week having won three out of their last four PacWest matchups including a big win over fourth-place, Hawaii Pacific on January 5. The Hawks have four players averaging double digit points including Alonzo Taylor who leads the team with 13.2 per game.

SWORDS LOOKING SHARP
Chaminade leaves Honolulu for their first road trip of the PacWest season with an impressive, four-game winning streak. With a 4-2 conference record, the Silverswords are tied for fourth in the conference with Hawaii Pacific. Erik Scheive currently leads the team with 15.8 points per game which is the ninth-highest in the PacWest. Scheive is also rebounding 4.1 rebounds per game which is the third-best mark on the team.

Jan. 5 -Â Academy of Art was firing on all cylinders in Friday night's contest against UH Hilo: ART U played unselfish basketball throughout and never relinquished the lead. Eventually, their dominant performance handed the Vulcans their first home PacWest loss of the season, a 74-64 Urban Knights triumph.
