2017 All-PacWest Baseball Team
 
IRVINE, Calif. – After the enjoying his most successful season on the mound, senior left-handed relief pitcher Jacob Green was named to the All-PacWest Second Team.
 
Green led all ART U relievers in several categories including: earned run average (2.38), appearances (20), innings pitched (41.2), and strikeouts (19). His best stretch of the season included only allowing one earned run over six appearances which spanned over 11.1 innings of work. The Simi Valley, Calif. native posted a 4-1 overall record and went 3-0 in conference-play. Green finished his tenure with the Urban Knights on a high note, tossing a career-high 6.1 innings against Point Loma. The redshirt senior will graduate this spring with a degree in Communications and Media Technologies.
 
"Jacob has been a core player in our program during his time with Academy of Art," said head coach Dan McDermott. "He is a prime example of the type of player we are trying to produce and he will certainly be missed."
