TRYING TO FEATHER THE STORM
After Saturday's game was cancelled due to unhealthy air conditions, the Urban Knights are back in action with a pair of PacWest matchups this week. First, ART U heads to Fresno Pacific for a Thursday evening matchup against the Sunbirds before hosting the Holy Names Hawks on Saturday afternoon.

Thursday's match against Fresno Pacific will kick off at 5:00 p.m. with Saturday's contest beginning at Noon.

KNOTABLE KNIGHTS
There are currently four Urban Knights who lead the team with one goal each. However, freshman midfielder
Sydney Cooke and senior midfielder
Abigail Chavez are tied atop the stat sheet with three points apiece. Furthermore, six Knights have started all 11 matches this season while senior midfielder
Laney Haviland leads the team with a total of 995 minutes.
SUNBIRDS ON THREE-GAME WIN STREAK
Fresno Pacific has been playing dominant soccer since the start of PacWest-play: the Sunbirds are currently 5-2 in the conference and have won each of their last three games (two in shutout-fashion). Their strong start has given them 15 points which places them in a tie for fourth-place in the PacWest. Anissia Gonzalez leads the team on offense with four goals and three assists so far for a total of 11 points.

HAWKS IN SEARCH OF THEIR FIRST WIN
Ten matches into the 2017 season, Holy Names has yet to put a notch in the win column, going 0-9-1 thus far. Their only point in conference came on September 30 when they tied Hawaii Pacific 0-0 after two overtimes. There are currently five Hawks with one goal each and they are all tied for the team-lead with two points.
PREVIOUS MATCH: ART U DROPS FIRST GAME OF HOMESTAND TO DIXIE
Oct. 12 - Looking to escape the smoky conditions caused by the fires in the North Bay, Academy of Art headed down to San Jose for Thursday's match against Dixie State. Kicking off at San Jose State, it was all Trailblazers from the get-go: after scoring twice in the opening period, DSU added three more goals in the second, taking the match by the score of 5-0.
LOOKING AHEAD
After Saturday's match against the Hawks, Academy of Art will head on their final road trip of the season, taking on Azusa Pacific and California Baptist.
