PacWest Conference Weekly Awards (Jan. 9)

IRVINE, CALIF. – Academy of Art men's basketball's Uchenna Okeneme was named Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week after a solid pair of games against Dixie State and Dominican.

 
During the two contests, Okeneme averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 steals. With 13 steals over the course of the last four games, the Advertising major has moved into fifth in the conference with 1.7 per game.
 
This is Okeneme's career-first Defender of the Week Award and his third overall PacWest distinction.
