The Urban Knights will play its next three games in six days, traveling between Utah (Dixie State), Irvine (Concordia), and San Diego (Point Loma).

KNIGHT WATCH
Still boasting one of the most active teams in the entire country, Academy of Art remains sixth in NCAA Division II in turnover margin (8.13), 14th in offensive rebounds per game (17.0), 14th in scoring offense (79.5 points per game), and up to 16th in steals per game (11.2). After 26 points off turnovers against Holy Names, ART U upped its average to 22.7 points off turnovers. A major contributor to the Knights' success, senior guard Jasmin Guinn ranks third in the country in steals per game (3.75) and needs just two more to set the Academy of Art single-season record. She is also now second in the PacWest in scoring (19.4 ppg, 18th in DII) and continues into uncharted territory with 465 total points serving as the new program scoring record. She is also fifth in the PacWest in offensive rebounding (3.1 rpg) and seven rebounds away from 800 in her career.

The Urban Knights' standout quartet also features senior guard Zoie Sheng who comes in averaging 15.3 points and 5.0 assists per game. She is 11th in the PacWest in scoring and fourth in assists, needing only four more to reach 400 in her career and nine to set a new ART U single-season record. She is tied for second in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratios (2.1) and joins Guinn among the country's top 20 in free throws made. Both Sheng (108) and Guinn (112) are poised to break Sheng's single-season free throws made record of 119 set last year.

13030After going 8-for-8 from the field with 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists against Holy Names, senior guard Regina Camera continues to deliver production across numerous categories. She enters this week averaging 14.5 points (13th in PacWest), 3.8 assists (sixth in PacWest), 5.7 rebounds (23rd in PacWest), and 2.3 steals (fifth in PacWest). She is currently seven steals away from 200 in her career, having registered at least one steal in each of her last 16 games. Riding a streak of nine outings with at least one 3-pointer made, senior guard Sha'Nice Storey has maintained an 11.7 points per game average and continues to build on the program's career record for triples made (now 206).

Head coach LaNay Larson has moved to within just two wins of her milestone 100th victory at Academy of Art.

STORMING IN
After going winless in the non-conference portion of its season, Dixie State picked up its first win over Point Loma on Dec. 5 and has gone on to win three more games in PacWest play since. The Red Storm defeated Notre Dame de Namur and Chaminade twice, once on its most recent Hawaii roadtrip. DSU has lost its last three games and hosts the Urban Knights amid its five-part homestand. Taylor Mann leads Dixie State as the PacWest's top rebounder (12.3 rpg) and third-highest scorer (19.1 points per game). Academy of Art overtook the Red Storm in the teams' historical matchup last year and now leads 7-6.

FLIGHT OF THE CONCORDIA
The Jan. 27 matchup between ART U and Concordia came around the middle of what has become a 10-game losing streak for the Eagles. CUI has fallen to No. 4 California Baptist, BYU-Hawaii, Hawaii Pacific, and Fresno Pacific coming into what will be its final home game of the season this weekend. Brittany Stafford remains Concordia's top scorer at 14.7 points per game (12th in PacWest), however, it was Tyler Crockom who had the biggest individual performance against the Knights last time out, amassing 10 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. With their first matchup this year, Academy of Art leads CUI 1-0 historically.

POINT OF ATTACK
Point Loma's Jan. 7 game at ART U represents the Sea Lions' lone blemish in their past nine games. PLNU defeated BYUH, Cal State San Bernardino, and Hawaii Pacific most recently, but takes on two of the hottest teams in the conference in Dominican (Feb. 11) and No. 19 Azusa Pacific (Feb. 13) coming up. The Sea Lions host both Academy of Art and No. 4 California Baptist in their final two home games before ending the regular season with three in Hawaii. Like ART U, four Point Loma players come in averaging double figures offensively with Madison West (16.0 ppg, seventh in the PacWest), who hit five 3-pointers as part of a game-high 23 points against the Knights last time. Academy of Art leads PLNU 4-2 all-time.

KNIGHTS OUTLAST HAWKS FOR 13TH PACWEST WIN
Despite shooting 60 percent from the field in a dominant first half, Academy of Art University women's basketball still needed clutch plays late to ward off Holy Names in Pacific West Conference play Feb. 3 inside Kezar Pavilion. The Urban Knights held a three-point lead with 35 seconds left, but used a big layup by senior center Caron Brown as well as a pair of free throws by Guinn to seal the 80-74 victory.

LOOKING AHEAD
Local for the rest of the regular season, ART U crosses the Golden Gate Bridge to face Dominican at the end of next week (Feb. 20) then hosts No. 4 California Baptist (Feb. 23) and Notre Dame de Namur (Feb. 27).
