TURLOCK, Calif. — Momentum continued to build for the No. 11 Academy of Art University women's tennis team Saturday, as the Urban Knights won their second match in as many days with a 7-2 road victory over Cal State Stanislaus at CSUS Tennis Courts.
 
The Urban Knights (7-3) took the top two doubles spots and the No. 3 through No. 6 singles matches, as well as No. 1 singles. It was the second time this season ART U defeated the Warriors (3-8) after sweeping them 9-0 at home on Feb. 22.
 
ART U has won the No. 1 doubles spot four straight times in dual matches. For the third straight time Saturday it was senior Nina Gajdosikova and junior Annika Schneider taking the top spot with an 8-3 win over Jessica Laurie and J'Ana Diamond. Senior Jenny Johansson and junior Michelle Dandik Zaale improved to 3-1 on the year with an 8-0 sweep over Analyssa Tallas and Ebone Qualls at No. 2.
 
Johansson (No. 3, 6-4, 6-0), freshman Dorota Markowska (No. 4, 6-1, 6-0), senior Kinga Kurczbuch (No. 5, 6-2, 6-1) and freshman Gabriela Rivas (No. 6, 6-0, 6-2) all won singles matches in straight sets. No. 48-ranked Gajdosikova won her first at No. 1 against Jessica Laurie 6-4 but fell in the second 2-6. She would prevail in the tiebreaker, winning 10-4.
 
The Urban Knights next travel to Southern California to take on two top-25 teams in No. 18 Azusa Pacific on Friday and No. 22 Cal State LA on Saturday.
