Coming off a 10-point victory over Notre Dame de Namur to begin their 2015-16 Pacific West Conference campaign, the Urban Knights travel to Fresno Pacific this weekend. Academy of Art University continues to be led by its defense, ranking fifth in the country in total steals and 14th in turnover margin, along with NCAA Division II steals leader senior guard Jasmin Guinn.

KNIGHT WATCH
Forcing opponents into more than 21 turnovers and scoring over 21 points off turnovers in their six wins thus far, Academy of Art currently leads the PacWest in turnover margin (7.36) and total steals (106). The Urban Knights also rank among the top 20 in the country in assists (151 - 13th), rebounds (423 - 15th), and three-point field goals made (68 - 16th).  Guinn, the PacWest's leading scorer at 19.7 points per game (20th in NCAA DII), averages 3.5 steals (10th in NCAA DII) and 8.1 rebounds (18th in NCAA DII) per game as well. She logged her team-best third double-double in ART U's win over NDNU.

12832Sixth in the PacWest in scoring, senior guard Zoie Sheng is posting 16.1 points per game thus far and has led the Knights offensively in each of their past two games. She remains top three in the PacWest in both assists per game (5.3) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.9). Senior guard Regina Camera is also putting up double-digits in points per game (14.8) and has amassed the fourth-most steals in the entire country after totaling 11 in her past three games. She is fourth in the PacWest with 2.5 thefts per contest.

SUNNY SIDE
After taking a pair of losses to Western Washington and Seattle Pacific, Fresno Pacific picked up its first win of the year at UC Merced. FPU then fell to Cal State Monterey bay, Stanislaus State, and Dominican before edging Chico State 66-64 on Dec. 8. The Sunbirds are led by a pair of scorers in Taylor Caspers (11.6 ppg) and Megan Lee (10.0 ppg). ART U has defeated FPU in each of the team's previous four meetings.

STARTERS' CONTRIBUTIONS GUIDE ART U TO WIN
Playing a Notre Dame de Namur team hungry for its first win of the season, Academy of Art University women's basketball weathered the storm of an early deficit then came on strong in the final quarter to earn its first Pacific West Conference victory 78-68. Each of the five Urban Knights starters scored in double figures and two recorded double-doubles in the Dec. 5 triumph inside NDNU's Walter Gleason Gym.

LOOKING AHEAD
Academy of Art will play its first home games of the season next week, welcoming PacWest rival Dominican (Dec. 17) and Fresno Pacific (Dec. 19) to Kezar Pavilion before a two-week break from competition over the holiday.
