SAN FRANCISCO — Academy of Art University forced 22 turnovers Saturday and scored 23 points going the other way, but the hot shooting of Dixie State was too much to overcome as the Red Storm came away with a 77-60 Pacific West Conference victory at Kezar Pavilion.
 
The Urban Knights (4-14, 2-10 PacWest) tied a season-high with 14 steals, led by freshman guard Jase Harrison and sophomore guard Sergio Valdeolmillos who both had four each. The 22 turnovers forced were the fourth-most they forced this season.
 
But the Red Storm (13-6, 10-3 PacWest) made up for their ball-handling woes with a 53.2 percent shooting performance. DSU scored 40 of its 77 points in the paint, outscoring ART U there 40-14. It also went 25-for-31 from the free-throw line (80.6 percent) compared to the Knights' 8-for-11 showing.
 
Dixie State only held a slim three-point, 35-32 lead at halftime but would go on a 10-0 run to start the second half, growing its lead to 13 at 47-34. Zach Robbins couldn't miss for DSU, starting the game shooting 9-for-10 with 18 points in the first half alone. He finished with a game-high 29 points, going 11-for-14 from the floor with six rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block.
 
Academy of Art held a seven-point lead with 7 minutes, 14 seconds left in the first half, but the Red Storm went on a 14-2 run over the next 3:31 to take the lead for good.

Senior guard Alexis Moore led ART U with 21 points off the bench, his fourth 20-point game in his last five games played. He also had grabbed five rebounds, dished three assists and picked up two steals. Freshman guard Uchenna Okeneme, senior guard Aaron Anderson and Harrison all added eight points apiece.
 
The Urban Knights close their season-long five-game home stand Monday versus PacWest opponent Point Loma.
