Knights Look To Continue Stellar Start

OPENING SERVE
The Urban Knights are still unbeaten on the year after taking down Dominican and Sonoma State last week, and will be looking to build upon that with a couple more Bay Area foes on the docket. The Knights rolled Dominican with a clean sweep, but had their most difficult match of the season so far against Sonoma State which ended in a 6-3 win.

HAWKS OPEN YEAR STRONG
Holy Names has won their first two matches of the spring season, sweeping both Mills College and Notre Dame de Namur by scores of 9-0. On their way to their program best 20-7 season last year, Academy of Art defeated the Hawks in the middle of March by a score of 9-0. The Hawks were 2-11 last year with their two wins coming against the two teams they just beat, Mills and NDNU.

KNIGHTS VAULT ONTO NATIONAL SCENE
Perfect through their first five matches of the 2014 season, ART U women's tennis was rewarded Wednesday with its highest national ranking in program history. The Urban Knights came in at #13 in the country, a 13-place improvement from their #26 fall ranking, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. With only #2 BYU-Hawaii and #4 Hawaii Pacific ahead, Academy of Art was the third highest West Region school on the national rankings, staying consistent with the regional list released on Feb. 19.

NEXT FOR THE KNIGHTS
ART U will head south for a tough road trip next week, taking on Azusa Pacific (March 7), Point Loma Nazarene University (March 8), and UC San Diego (March 8) on three consecutive days in southern California.Â
