San Bernardino, CA -- Able to complete two rounds Tuesday despite a stormy Monday night, Academy of Art University men's golf finished up the Coyote Classic with an 11th place team result while posting progressively lower scores (302-301-300) as a group with each round. Senior
Stuart Favretto, the Urban Knights' leader after just a single round on day one, ended up tied for 20th and followed up his opening score of 72 with two 73s on Tuesday at the
Arrowhead Country Club.

Sean Etow moved up and became ART U's second finisher with a three-round total of 225 (76-74-75) to earn him a tie for 41st. Freshman
Alberto "Dago" Esponda came in tied for 52nd with a 229 (79-74-76) and was closely followed by sophomore
Thomas Krepp's 231 (75-80-76) which tied him for 61st. Freshman
Cody Moore added a 249 (84-82-83). As the 11th place team overall, ART U beat out Cal State East Bay (12th), Cal State Dominguez Hills (14th), as well as new PacWest member Cal Baptist (15th).
The tournament winners wound up being Chico State, who led after the first round Monday. As a team, the Wildcats shot a 5-over 845 to best Grand Canyon by nearly 20 strokes. Chico's Kyle Souza finished as the individual tournament champion, shooting progressively lower and lower scores as the rounds progressed (70-68-67).
The Urban Knights return to the links Mar. 5-6 for the Cal State East Bay Pioneer Shootout at the Hiddenbrooke Golf Course in Vallejo, CA.
