ART U Finishes 12th At St. Martin's Invitational

Final Results

Olympia, WA -- A strong improvement by four Urban Knights on day two of the Saint Martin's Invitational had Academy of Art finish its first fall tournament in 12th overall. Junior Stuart Favretto posted a 74 (three strokes better than his first round score) at the Olympia Golf & Country Club to lead all ART U golfers.

Favretto took a tie for 30th place with his individual two-day final of 151 (77-74). As the second Urban Knight finisher, junior Sean Etow posted a 156 (77-79) to tie for 54th while freshman Cole Yamane bettered his first round score by three strokes to earn a tie for 58th with a 157 (80-77). In a tie for 63rd, freshman Cody Moore showed a significant gain with his 159 (84-75) final figure. Sophomore Thomas Krepp came through with the greatest improvement of any ART U competitor (13 strokes) en route to his 173 (93-80) score and 79th place.

The team competition was won by Cal State Stanislaus their own collective improvement on day two with a 585 (300-285). However, the Warriors only barely edged out Western Washington and Hawaii-Hilo who both tied for second place with a 586. Leading all golfers individually was Jamie Hall from Hawaii-Hilo with his final score of 139 (72-67).
