San Francisco, CA - After their final week of the 2011 season, the Academy of Art University's softball team had two players named to the Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. The announcement came from the PacWest conference office on Monday, just one day after the conclusion of the softball season. The two players to recieve the honors for the Urban Knights were senior Alana Aweau, and sophomore Jayme Stewart. Both players were honored for their play throughout the week of April 25th - May 1st.

Aweau (Fairfield, CA), had a tremendous week for her team helping lead them offensively to their 2-3 finish. In five starts, she batted .474 going 9-19. She contributed four runs scored, two doubles, two homeruns, a stolen base, two walks, a hit by pitch, and 11 runs batted in. Alana finished with a .545 on base mark, and a .895 slugging percentage.

Stewart (Shingle Springs, CA), also put up big offensive numbers for the Knights this past week. She posted a .500 avergae in five starts going 8-16. She recorded three runs scored, one double, one homerun, four walks, and six runs batted in. Jayme ended the week with a .750 slugging rate and a .600 on base percentage.
