San Francisco, CA - Academy of Art University's own sophomore, Diane Phan, was named Pacific West Conference Player of the Week. The announcement came from the PWC office on Wednesday night. Phan recieved the honor for her outstanding play during the week of March 29th - April 3rd. Also receiving recognition for outstanding play was freshman Amal Ben El Hadj who was named to the PacWest Top 10 Honor Roll noting her accomplishments during the same week.

Phan (Fremont, CA) had a great week for her team leading them to a 1-1 finish. Phan went a perfect 4-0 in both matches for ART U. She finished 2-0 competing in the No. 4 singles spot coming up with big wins over both her CSU Stanislaus and Dominican University opponents. Diane also went 2-0 in the No. 2 doubles spot for her team.

Ben El Hadj (Tunis, Tunisia) also did very well for the Knights last week. She posted a 3-1 record earning a victory in the No. 3 sinlges spot by defeating her Dominican University challenger. Amal rounded out her week by going 2-0 while competing in the No. 2 doubles spot.
