Phoenix, AZ – As the fifth highest scorer in the Pacific West Conference last week, junior forward
Keith Davis was once again named to the PacWest Weekly Honor Roll. Davis averaged 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game over two contests for his eighth selection this season. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Feb. 21, for games contested on Jan. 14-20.
In Academy of Art University's first game of the week against Chaminade, Davis had balanced scoring over two halves and finished with 17 points. The junior forward put in a quick four midway through the second half as ART U cut into the Silverswords' lead. Davis finished the contest shooting an efficient 6-for-13 from the floor.
Davis did a little bit of everything two days later against BYU-Hawaii. He posted a team-high 16 points to go with seven rebounds, two steals, an assist, and a blocked shot. In the Urban Knights' quality battle against a Seasider team ranked #8 in the West Region, Davis worked in tandem with freshman forward
William Overton, Jr. to attack BYUH's defense throughout the afternoon. Davis hit a pair of jumpers to help give Academy of Art momentum at the end of the first half.
Davis averaged 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game during the week. In addition, the Long Beach, CA native was all over the court, collecting a total of three steals, one assist, and one blocked shot.
This season, Davis has earned eight PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll selections to lead all ART U men's basketball players.
