Nolan and Peets Selected to PacWest Weekly Top 10

Phoenix, AZ--- Academy of Art University seniors Verity Peets and Jessica Nolan earned Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll selections for their play during the week of January 24th - January 30th.  The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, January 31st.

Nolan, who is currently fourth in the conference in rebounds, averaged 7.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Urban Knights. The Urban Knights co-leading scorer for the week also averaged 13.5 points per game.

Jessica Nolan was a key component in the Urban Knights victory over the visiting Hawai'i-Hilo Vulcans on January 25th. The senior put together a near perfect shooting game, going 6-of-8 from the field and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line to finish with 18 points. 

In ART U's overtime loss to Hawai'i Pacific University, the senior chipped in with nine points. Nolan came alive during the second half of the HPU game, scoring six of her nine points in the second half alone. Just minutes into the second half, Nolan connected on back-to-back lay-ups to regain ART U's sizeable lead over the Sea Warriors. Nolan finished the game with nine rebounds, dished out a game high five assists, and nabbed two steals. Overall, Nolan averaged 4.5 assists a game while shooting 58.8% (10 for 17) from the floor during the week.

Peets averaged 13.5 points and seven rebounds per game for the Urban Knights in a 1-1 week.

The Stockport, England native contributed 12 points, going 5-of-12 from the field, in ART U's most recent loss to Hawai'i Pacific University on January 27th. Peets also grabbed nine rebounds and recorded one block in the loss.  

In ART U's lone win of the week, Peets cranked out 15 points, shooting an impressive 62% from the field (5-of-8) and 71% from the free-throw line (5-of-7). Peets tied for ninth in scoring and ranked eighth in rebounding for the week within the PacWest.
