Phoenix, AZ – As the second best scorer in the Pacific West Conference for the week, freshman forward
William Overton, Jr. earned a place on the PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. Overton, Jr. averaged 22.0 points per game, scoring game-highs in both games during a 1-1 week for the Urban Knights. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Jan. 31, for games contested on Jan. 24-30.

Keith Davis for the game-high of 18 points, Overton, Jr. played an important role in ART U's 66-64 victory over Hawaii-Hilo on Jan. 25. A total of 13 of Overton, Jr.'s points came in the second half as Academy of Art executed a 21-3 run to fight back and take the lead. The Perth Amboy, NJ native completed a three-point play and quickly added a 3-pointer to propel the Knights' surge.
Against Hawaii Pacific two nights later, Overton, Jr. followed with another impressive scoring performance. The freshman forward finished with 26 points as well as seven rebounds and three steals. On this occasion, Overton, Jr. did much of his damage in the first half with 14 points in that period alone. He had five during a 19-0 run by the Knights to begin the game and then put in five consecutive points to give ART U a double digit lead late in the half.
Overton, Jr. finished the week averaging 22.0 points per game which was just 2.0 points behind the leader, Dominican's Killian Larson. Defensively, Overton, Jr. added 2.0 steals and 4.5 rebounds per contest along with two assists and two blocks for the week.
This is the fifth PacWest Weekly honor for Overton, Jr. including his Player of the Week selection earlier in the season. He is a four-time PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll earner.
