Davis Makes PacWest Honor Roll For Fifth Time

Phoenix, AZ – For efficient scoring efforts over the Urban Knights' final two games in Hawaii last week, junior forward Keith Davis has been named to the Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. Davis ranked seventh in the conference in scoring for the week. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Jan. 17, for games contested on Jan. 10-16.

Davis began his solid scoring week with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting at BYU-Hawaii on Jan. 10. He put in six of the first eight Academy of Art points to start the game and already had 10 by halftime. The junior forward also knocked down a 3-pointer early in the second period to help ART U come within 11 points of the Seasiders. Then, on Jan. 12 at Hawaii Pacific, Davis contributed to a balanced offensive attack for the Knights. He had 13 points, shooting just a shade under 50% (6-of-13). Davis scored a pair of layups midway through the second half as Academy of Art stormed back.

Davis completed the two contests with a 15.5 points per game average to rank seventh in the PacWest in scoring for the week. He was 14-of-26 shooting from the field to also finish with the seventh best field goal percentage (53.8%), including 2-for-2 from three-point range. The Long Beach, CA native added four rebounds, three assists, and three steals during the week as well.

This is the fifth PacWest Weekly Honor Roll selection for Davis this season. With nine total reports, he has represented Academy of Art University in over half.
