AAU SET FOR REMATCHES AGAINST 'LOPES AND RED STORM:
After a pair of local contests this past week, the Academy of Art men's basketball team now travels to Arizona and Utah for its final two road games of the season. On Thursday and Saturday of this week, the Knights face a pair of teams, Grand Canyon and Dixie State, who came to San Francisco back in January.

OPENING TIP:

Academy of Art University and Grand Canyon get started Thursday, Feb. 25 inside Antelope Gymnasium in Phoenix, AZ. The game is set to tip off at 6:00 PM PST. The Knights' final road game of the season will be on Saturday, Feb. 27 versus Dixie State at 2:00 PM PST. Live stats will be provided here in addition to a live radio broadcast of the game here. You can also check out AAU's athletics page, Twitter, and CollegeFanz for live score updates!

KNIGHT SPOTLIGHT:
Two Urban Knights, senior guard Weleh Dennis and junior forward Jonathan Burnett, have earned places on the PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll the past two weeks for their impressive offensive performances. Dennis unloaded a season-high 17 points (including 4-for-5 3pt) off the bench against NDNU on Feb. 13. Burnett, on the other hand, did his damage in the paint against Dominican with a 7-for-7 night on Feb. 18.

SCOUTING THE ANTELOPES:

With just four games left in their season, Grand Canyon University continues to sit in the middle of the PacWest standings. The 'Lopes, who sport the conference's best scoring defensive, earned a 62-48 victory over Academy of Art back on Jan. 18 as part of a four-game win streak that was capped by a 82-80 triumph against Dixie State on Jan. 30. Grand Canyon split while in Hawaii recently and now returns to Phoenix, AZ for a four-game homestand to close out the year. Guard T.J. Benson paces the squad with 9.4 points per game and 58 3-pointers made. Forward Justin Wesolowski averages a team-best 6.0 rebounds per contest and went for 16 points with 12 rebounds against the Knights earlier in the season.

SCOUTING THE RED STORM:
While Dixie State defeated Academy of Art on Jan. 16 during a seven-game win streak, the Red Storm are more of a force to be reckoned with at home. DSC is 8-0 inside Burns Arena this season and the team has won four of its last five games fresh off a Hawaii roadtrip. Forward Tom Whitehead, who has been Dixie State's top scorer in the previous five contests, averages 17.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Whitehead and guard Donovon Plunkett have combined to make 88 3-pointers for the PacWest's best three-point shooting team.

URBAN KNIGHTS SURRENDER HALFTIME LEAD TO ARGONAUTS:
Facing Notre Dame de Namur for the second time in nine days, Academy of Art University gained a 27-26 halftime advantage, but could not hold on en route to NDNU's 60-50 victory on Feb. 22 in Belmont, CA. The Argos began the game with a 17-5 run only to see AAU climb back into it via the Knights' 13-2 surge ending the period. Freshman guard Ivan "B.J." Prema, Jr. put an exclamation point on the burst when he knocked down three free throws on a last-second foul before halftime. In the second half, the teams fought through seven ties before NDNU used a 13-0 push to take the win. Prema, Jr. led AAU with 12 points while Burnett added 10 points and seven rebounds.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Just two more games remain for AAU men's basketball this season. The Knights return home for a matchup with Chaminade on Mar. 2 at UCSF and Senior Night comes against BYU-Hawaii on Mar. 4 at Kezar Pavilion.
