2009-10: Participated in 10 tournaments and averaged 75.82 over 28 rounds...took first at the Sonoma State Invitational on Oct 19, 2009... Shot a tournament low 138 to beat out the 72 golfer field... shot a low 68 in the opening round of the SSU Invite... during the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational shot a career low 66... tied for 15th in the PacWest Conference Championship (78-77-73--228).
2008-09: Averaged 76.7 over 35 rounds in 12 events … won the individual title at the Pacific West Conference Championship (71-74-70-215) … shot his lowest round (70) and lowest three-round total (215) at the Pacific West Conference Championship … registered one par and three under-par rounds … finished third at the CalPac Tournament (73-72-145) … also tied for 13th at the St. Martin’s Invitational (74-72-74-220).
Previous Experience: Garcia, a transfer from Foothill College, joins the Academy of Art University’s golf team as an outstanding all-around player … participated in several tournaments at Foothill College… won the Metropolitan Amateur, beating golfers from Cal and St. Mary’s … finished fourth at the San Francisco County Amateur against players from Cal, Pepperdine, and George Washington University … tied for third at the California Community College Championships and was the only Northern California player at the tournament.
