SENIOR DAY
The final home game of the season has arrived for Academy of Art men's soccer, as the Urban Knights play host to Fresno Pacific on Senior Day after honoring three seniors, Kendryx Soriano, Gilly Miller, and Jossart Jodito, with a pregame ceremony.

KICKOFF
The Senior Day match will begin this Saturday between the Knights and Sunbirds at CCSF with a noon matinee. KNIGHT WATCH
Senior midfielder/forward Gilly Miller has already recently broken the ART U record for most assists in a career, and is looking for more history as he currently stands just three points away from being the points leader as well. Within the Pacific West Conference, Miller is ranked among the leaders in points (fourth), and assists (second). Miller is the co-leader in points for the year at ART U with teammate and junior forward Alejandro Palos (8). Palos, the Urban Knights' co-leader in goals scored on the season (3), also has the most shots taken (25), and most shots on target with his 14 (fourth in PacWest). Right behind the duo in points for ART U is freshman midfielder Joey Glaab (6), who is the team's co-leader with Palos in goals and is second on the squad in shots on goal (9). Glaab, in just his first collegiate year, has continued to play the full match in all 13 on the season, playing 1,170 minutes thus far.

Platooning in goal for Academy of Art is the combination of sophomore goalkeeper Jaiden Brooks and freshman goalkeeper Ronaldo Gutierrez, with Brooks earning 10 starts while Gutierrez has started three in the last four matches. Thus far, Brooks has produced 45 saves on 150 shots faced (.608 save percentage) with a 2.79 goals against average, while Gutierrez has stopped seven chances on 40 shots faced (.583 save percentage) with a 1.93 goals against average. Brooks is currently ranked within the PacWest in saves per game (third) with his 4.09 average.

STOPPING THE SUNBIRDS
Fresno Pacific enters the matchup with the Knights at 5-5-0 overall as they come off two-straight shutout losses to Westmont (4-0) and UH Hilo (2-0). Chris Macias is the leader on the team in goals, points, shots, and shots on goal, as he is ranked among the top 10 in all four categories in the PacWest. Stephan Morris is second on the squad in points (6), with the rest of the team having four or less. Elmer Carballo has started 10 matches in goal for the Sunbirds this season, recording 40 saves on 110 shots faced (.656 save percentage) with a 2.24 goals against average. In the all-time series between the two teams, Fresno Pacific stands in front with a 12-1-1 record.

MEN'S SOCCER DROPS MATCHUP AGAINST AZUSA PACIFIC
In the second and final match of their Southern California road trip, Academy of Art men's soccer fell to Azusa Pacific 3-0 on Oct. 9 at Cougar Soccer Complex.

LOOKING AHEAD
After this match, Academy of Art will head on the road for the remainder of their 2023 campaign, starting with their last Northern California match of the regular season against Dominican, occurring on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Kennelly Field starting at noon.
