2024 CSC Academic All-District Soccer Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Receiving the first CSC Academic All-District honor of his respective career is sophomore midfielder Xander Cleaves as his academic and athletic success was recognized in Tuesday's announcement of the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team selections. 

The 2024 Academic All-District men's soccer teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Playing in 16 matches this season with over 600 minute, Cleaves maintained a 3.61 grade point average in the School of Communications & Media Technologies. This season, the native of Brantford, Ontario, Canada was seen playing out on the pitch in all positions, showing his versatility across the field and in the classroom. Cleaves also managed to record a perfect shot on goal percentage in 2024, going 3-for-3 when striking at the net. This is the second award the sophomore has received in his career with ART U, as he can now match it with his 2023-24 Academic All-PacWest Team honor.

Cleaves is the first Knight from Academy of Art men's soccer to receive the CSC Academic All-District award.
