Lauryn Manns in the first two minutes of the second frame had the margin back to single digits before CUI pushed back with long range success fueling a 10-3 run late.
The 40-22 halftime score soon shrunk on consecutive layups by Wandick who shined brightly in the third quarter. Those conversions had the game at 44-30 with a quarter and a half to play and offensive success by sophomore forward/center
Christy Ojide plus Wilson again brought the contest to a 14-point difference thereafter, but Concordia ended the third up 62-44 despite three Wandick layups in the final two minutes.
Following Wandick's 14 points, Manns became the second Urban Knight to reach double figures offensively with her basket just over a minute into the fourth. Another basket from Wandick seconds later shortened the difference to 13 points, but that is as close as Academy of Art would come thanks to an ensuing 8-0 run which eventually helped CUI win 74-58.
The result drops ART U to 0-7 on the season and 0-2 in conference play despite the season-best 17 points by Wandick on 7-for-14 shooting from the field. Clifton added 14 points while Manns provided 13 points. Wilson finished with eight points, eight rebounds, and three steals.
Now winners of three straight, Concordia improves to 5-3 on the year and 2-0 in PacWest action. Katie Timmerman paced CUI with 14 points and Teagan Thurman contributed 13 points.
Up next for the Urban Knights will be their first home game of the season, a non-conference matchup with Sonoma State on Tuesday, Dec. 6 tipping off at 6 p.m. inside Walter Gleason Gym in Belmont.
