NAPA, Calif. – ART U women's golf finds itself in second place after day one of the Academy of Art Invitational from Silverado Resort, as the junior duo of
Anahi Servin and
Iveta Posledni is leading the charge with each turning in an 8-over-par 80. As a squad, the Urban Knights combined to shoot a 47-over-par 335 on Monday.
Only Sonoma State is ahead of ART U, as the Seawolves are 12 strokes ahead in first place at 35-over-par 323 after the first day's action. The top individual score also belongs to SSU's Isley Grguric who managed to build a five-stroke lead over both Servin and Posledni by carding a 3-over-par 75. When it came to pars the pair flipped, as this time it's Servin that is tied for second with 10, while Posledni and teammate
Napat "Plern" Rattanaprakarn each posted nine.
Also finishing in the top-15 was freshman
Valeria Ruiz, who ended her day in a tie for 14th place at 15-over-par 87. Rounding out the scoring for the Urban Knights was Rattanaprakarn, who checks in at 16th place with a round of 16-over-par 88.
