2021 Bay Area Invitational Round One Leaderboard

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. – Junior Anahi Servin powered Academy of Art women's golf in the opening round of the Bay Area Invitational from Monarch Bay Golf Club on Monday, carding a 1-over-par 73 to finish the first round tied for third place. As a unit, the Urban Knights turned in a 40-over-par 328, currently sitting in sixth place. 

Par-5's were a strength for Servin, as she was third by going 2-under-par on such holes, while also recording three birdies on the day. Turning in two birdies of her own was freshman Napat "Plern" Rattanaprakarn, tying for second on the Knights in round one at 12-over-par along with fellow freshman Valeria Ruiz. ART U trails fourth place Western New Mexico by just eight strokes, while fifth place Holy Names is just four shots ahead. 

Sitting atop the individual leaderboard is Raquel Prado of Point Loma, earning a 1-under-par 71 to take a one-stroke lead into round two tomorrow. The Sea Lions also lead the tournament as a team, as they enjoy a three-stroke lead over second place Biola after PLNU registered a 10-over-par 288. 

Round two of the Bay Area Invitational from Monarch Bay Golf Club will conclude tomorrow.
