ACADEMY OF ART FACES WARRIORS IN ROCKLIN

After an early week match with Western Oregon on Sept. 16 that ended in a 2-2 tie, the Urban Knights will head north to Rocklin, Calif. to take on William Jessup in their second to last non-conference match.

KICKOFF
ART U kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 18 with a 1 p.m. matchup against William Jessup. Remember to follow @ARTU_Knights via the athletics app (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) and on Twitter & Instagram as well as "Like" the Urban Knights on Facebook for score updates, videos, and 20161recaps.

KNIGHT WATCH
Senior forward Anissa Wilson continued her ridiculous scoring streak last week and after just four matches tied the single season goals record of seven set by Marg Thorolfsdottir in 2011. On Sept. 13, Wilson had a pair of goals and an assist against Mills and another against San Francisco State on Sept. 11 for a weekly total of three goals and seven points. Wilson's next goal will simultaneously break the single-season goal record and the single-season points record.

Junior midfielder Sydney Cooke is coming off a two assist match versus Western Oregon. The goals she assisted were scored by sophomore forward Brooklyn Morera and freshman defender Katie Williams. Cooke and Morera are currently tied for second in points, with two goals and two assists apiece. Sophomore forward Baylie Christensen is behind them with four points on one goal and two assists.

WAY OF THE WARRIORS
Five matches into their season William Jessup is currently 2-3. After the Warriors started their season with a bang by defeating Cal Maritime an outrageous 16-0, they went on to lose three straight matches. The losing streak started with a 2-0 loss to Antelope Valley on Aug. 29. Two days later WJU dropped a 1-0 match to UC Merced. On Sept. 8 Oregon Institute of Technology took down the Warriors 5-0. In their most recent match, the Warriors snapped their losing-streak with a 2-1 victory over Simpson.

Madison Leonhardt is WJU's leading scorer, with nine points on three goals and three assists. Alhan Bakideh trails Leanhardt by one point with her three goals and two assists while Elena Marino leads the team in assists with four. Academy of Art has never lost to William Jessup with a record of 2-0-1. The Urban Knights have also won their last two meetings, including a 2-1 victory in their most recent match.

ART U BATTLES WESTERN OREGON TO DOUBLE OT FOR TIE
After a week of away matches Academy of Art returned to scenic Paul Goode Field on Monday morning to take on Western Oregon on Sept. 16. It was a back and forth match and the Wolves scored first, but the Urban Knights battled back and after two overtime periods the match ended in a 2-2 tie.

LOOKING AHEAD
William Jessup will mark the final non-PacWest opponent for the Urban Knights, however they will play one last non-conference match versus Notre Dame de Namur on Sept. 27 before embarking on their PacWest schedule starting Oct. 3 with Azusa Pacific.
