NCAA Division II National Championships Round One Results

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- In her first NCAA National Championships appearance, sophomore Anahi Servin had an excellent opening round, ending tied for sixth after shooting an even 73 with two birdies. Servin is just one stroke out of second and four off the top spot which is held by Cal State San Marcos' Claire Hogle who shot a 4-under-par 69.

Servin's birdies came on the sixth and 18th and her 2-under-par on par-5 holes was fourth best in the field of 95. The sophomore Architecture major ends day one tied for the highest placed individual with Krystal Knight of Merrimack College.

Servin will return to the links of the PGA National Resort tomorrow, to continue her quest for a national title.
