PACWEST PLAY BEGINS
The Urban Knights begin their first PacWest Conference series after winning four of their last five games, including their first series win against Simpson University. ART U will take on the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds in a four-game set at Laney College.

FIRST PITCH
The series will consist of two single games and a doubleheader beginning on Thursday, February 21 at 6:00 p.m. Live coverage will be available at the links listed above, but as always, you can follow the Urban Knights on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

KNOTABLE KNIGHTS
Following his historic performance on February 17 against Simpson, junior right-hander Ben Kaser was named the PacWest Pitcher of the Week. Kaser became the first ART U pitcher to throw a no-hitter in program history on Saturday and had a perfect game going until the seventh-inning. At that point, he allowed his first batter to reach base by way of a hit-by-pitch. Along the way, Kaser faced the minimum number of batters, struck out five, and threw an unprecedented, 57 pitches. The entirety of the 7-inning game lasted just one hour and ten minutes.

ART U LOOKS TO EXTEND WIN STREAK AGAINST SUNBIRDS
Academy of Art goes into Thursday's conference matchup carrying over a three-game win streak against Fresno Pacific from the 2017 season. The last two games of the series ended in dramatic fashion, both of which went to into extra innings with the Urban Knights coming out on top. With a 3-3 record this season, Nate case has wielded the biggest bat for FPU thus far: he is batting at a .412 clip with eight runs batted in, six runs, three doubles, and two home runs.

PREVIOUS CONTEST: ART U EARNS DH SWEEP, SERIES WIN OVER SIMPSON
Feb. 18 - After splitting the first pair of games against Simpson University, Academy of Art did not hold back on the second and final day of the series: the Urban Knights put up some big-time statistics on both sides of the ball, accumulating 24 hits on offense and a combined, 20 strikeouts from four pitchers to earn the doubleheader sweep and their first series victory of 2018.
