PacWest Weekly Awards Feb. 19, 2018

SAN FRANCISCO – Following his historic performance on February 17 against Simpson, junior right-hander Ben Kaser was named the PacWest Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Kaser became the first ART U pitcher to throw a no-hitter in program history on Saturday and had a perfect game going until the seventh-inning. At that point, he allowed his first batter to reach base by way of a hit-by-pitch. Along the way, Kaser faced the minimum number of batters, struck out five, and threw an unprecedented, 57 pitches. The entirety of the 7-inning game lasted just one hour and ten minutes.

This is the first conference award for Kaser as he is in his first season with the Urban Knights after transferring from LA Mission College.
