Servin Named PacWest Golfer of the Week

PacWest Golfer of the Week Release 2.15.18

SAN FRANCISCO – Leading the way for Academy of Art in their first tournament of the spring, freshman Anahi Servin was named this week's PacWest Women's Golfer of the Week.

Servin impressed in both round of the Mikuni Sushi Shootout. On the first day, she shot a 74 (+3) which included three birdies. Her score was tied for the best of the day alongside her teammate, freshman Iveta Posledni. In Tuesday's final round, the Asuncion, Paraguay native maintained her rank as the tournament's top individual as she posted a 75 to claim her first title of 2018 and the second of her career. Servin compiled three more birdies in the final round to bring her tournament total to six which led the competition. Furthermore, she led all individuals with an average score of 2.88 on Par-3's. Servin has now won two-consecutive tournaments dating back to the fall's final competition, The Battle at the Bay.

"What really impressed me about Anahi's last two rounds was that she was consistently able to overcome adversity," said head coach Elaine Harris. She did that the first day by overcoming a slow start in the first round. The second day she was able to maintain her score after scoring an eight early on. One of her big strengths is that she is continuously able to stay focused throughout the tournament."

This is the second PacWest weekly honor of Servin's young career as she also received the award following her previous title run.
