HURRICANE, Utah -- After the first round of play at the Dixie State Invitational Academy of Art women's golf is in first place and has three golfers in the top six individually. The team ended the day with an exceptional cumulative score of 293 (+5).
ART U is led by who else but sophomore
Anahi Servin who shot a 72 (E) on the day and is tied for fourth. She also sees herself near the top of a couple different statistical categories: par-5 scoring (-1), par-4 scoring (+1), and pars with 12.
Following close behind and tied for sixth are junior
Elan Hawkins and junior
Han-Chuan "Vicky" Kuo who both shot just one stroke higher than Servin for a score of 73 (+1). Kuo has the third best score for par-3s with (-1). After collecting an impressive 14 pars and shooting even on par-4 holes Hawkins is second among all golfers in each statistical category.
Freshman
Nattavadee "Baipor" Khunsri debuted for Academy of Art in a big way, compiling the most birdies of any Urban Knight with three. Khunsri put her focus and endurance on display as she held the lowest score of all golfers for par-5 holes shooting a tremendous (-2). She ended the day in 13th place with a score of 75 (+3).
ART U will look to maintain their first place positioning and win their first tournament of 2018 Tuesday at the Dixie State Invitational.
