ALOHA, VULCANS
After going 1-3 on the road trip at Point Loma, ART U welcomes in the UH Hilo Vulcans for their second-to-last home series. The four-game set will be split over three days with a single game on Friday evening, a twin bill on Saturday, and the series finale on Sunday. Live coverage will be available at the links listed above, but as always, you can follow the Urban Knights on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Â
KNOTABLE KNIGHTS
Senior infielder Tyler Strawn enters the series as team's most productive offensive player as of late. The San Leandro native is hitting a team-high .319 and owns the most hits (44) doubles (9), and best slugging percentage (.406). Recently joining the .300 batting average club is sophomore outfielder Jacoby Barragan. The Multimedia Communications major has burst onto the scene in his ten starts, notching 11 hits in 36 at-bats.

VULCAN ROAD WOES
UH Hilo has spent the last 17 games on the road and has gone 2-15 during that span. After falling 12 consecutive games, the Vulcans did get a win in their previous series against Holy Names. Hawaii Hilo will spend the next five games on the road with four coming against the Urban Knights and finishing off with a single game at SF State. Michael Jenkerson holds the Vulcan's highest batting average, hitting at a .291 clip with four doubles, eight runs batted in, and 36 total bases. Jordan Kurokawa has served as the team's ace, posting a 3.29 earned run average in his eight starts. With a 2-5 record, the right hander has tossed 52.0 innings while striking out a team-high 52 batters opposite of 22 walks. Â

LOOKING BACK: BASEBALL SUCCUMBS TO LONG BALL, SEA LIONS
April 16Â - Senior catcher Zack Trueblood stepped up to the plate in the top of the fifth. Runners were at the corners and not a single out had been recorded. On the first pitch, the Redding, Calif. native pulled the ball on the ground to the third baseman who took the out at first, throwing out Trueblood who was speeding down the line. On the play, senior third baseman Tyler Strawn came in to score ART U's first run of the afternoon. However, their run was too little, too late as it was not enough to overcome Point Loma's early 12-run advantage.
Â
PLNU would continue to extend their lead throughout the remainder of the game, scoring four more runs for a total of 16 in the contest…

LOOKING AHEAD
After the series with UH Hilo, the Urban Knights will embark on their final road trip of the 2016 season, facing Azusa Pacific April 29-30.
