Box Score Rohnert Park, CA — Lennart Fleschhut scored his first goal of the season Thursday for the Academy of Art University men's soccer team, but the host Sonoma State Seawolves scored twice in the first half and three more times in the third to come away with a 5-1 victory.

The junior defender Fleschhut scored in the 78th minute thanks in part to assists from Urban Knights freshmen
Sam McKay and
Malcolm McLellan, who recorded their first career points with the helpers.

After a quick corner, McLellan served the ball into McKay, who headed it at the goal, but it bounced off Sonoma State goalkeeper Sean Taufer and right to Fleschhut, who finished into the lower right corner to make the score 4-1.

Sonoma State (4-1) got goals from five different players Thursday and jumped out to a 2-0 lead within the match's first 10 minutes. Chris Pihl scored his first goal of the season 5 minutes, 9 seconds in off assists from Raspreet Sandhu and Sean Callahan. SSU struck again 3:52 later, this time off the foot of Eric Alvarado, who scored an unassisted goal to make it 2-0.

ART U settled down the Sonoma State attack and held them scoreless for the next 35 minutes. In the meantime, the Urban Knights' offense got going and would end the half leading in shots 7-4. Freshman

The Seawolves came out firing again the second half though, as goals by Armando Coronel (52nd minute), Brenton Frame (61st) and Tyler Troup just 1:42 from the final whistle pushed the final score to 5-1. Sonoma State would take a slight edge in shots for the match 14-13, including a 9-6 edge for shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper
