ON THE APPROACH

The Knights battled Dominican for their sixth straight match decided by one goal or less, counting the one tie between the two teams, but fell in double overtime 3-2 earlier this week. ART U and the Penguins combined for four goals in the second half after a scoreless first half, with Lou Fillingham adding another goal to her total and newcomer Miranda Corneliussen getting in on the scoring as well, her second in three games.

HOLY NAMES LOOKING FOR ANSWERS
The Hawks have lost three straight games to start the PacWest season and have only scored one goal over that span, being outscored 13-1 by Azusa Pacific, California Baptist, and most recently Dominican University. Alyssa Flores is leading the Hawks with 10 points off of five goals, while Tonisha Baybayan and Michelle Gonzales each have two assists on the year.

FILLINGHAM FINDING SCORING SUCCESS
Junior Louise Fillingham didn't have any goals her first year in 2011, scored twice and added two assists in 18 games last season, and this year in only eight games has scored three goals, including two from over 40 yards away. Fillingham has been efficienct as well, with almost 60 percent of her shots coming on goal and over 20 percent of them going in.

PENGUINS HOST ROUND TWO
The Knights and the Penguins have been neck and neck since they started playing each other a few years ago, and continued that rivalry last week with another close battle. The two teams see-sawed back and forth the whole way, but it was Dominican who prevailed in double overtime on a goal by Kaila Wakida that snuck in after knocking off the post. The all-time record between them is now all locked up at 4-4-2.

HEADED YOUR WAY
The Knights will play Dominican for the second time in a week on Sunday, October 6 in San Rafael. After that they'll have their final two home games until November against Point Loma and Dixie State.Â
