Women's Golf Placed 15th in the Lady Otter Spring Invitational

Laura Huertas shot a pair of 80's on both days of the Lady Otter Spring Invitational to take ART U's top spot. The sophomore finished in tie for 37th on the individual leaderboard. Her two round score helped the Urban Knight women place 15th out of 22 teams at Black Horse Golf Course in Seaside Tuesday afternoon.

Lyra Yoe improved her second round score by five strokes, placing in a seven way tie for 39th place. Yoe shot an 83 in the opening round, and then followed it with a 78 on Tuesday, totaling 161 in the two-day event.

After shooting an 81 in the opening round, Crystal Superal carded an 84 in the final 18 holes, finishing tied for 57th. Andrea Nieto (84-79--173) placed tied for 91st out of 117 golfers. While Sierra Sanchez tied for 109th.

Nova Southeastern claimed the invitational title flat-out by carding a 597 over two rounds of play. They finished 17 strokes ahead of second place Cal State Monterey Bay (614). Cal Baptist finished third with a final score of 616. Augustana College took fourth, carding a 628. While Sonoma State rounded out the top five, with a 632.

Academy of Art will next compete in the Grand Canyon Spring Invitational at Palm Valley Golf Course on April 4-5.
