Phoenix, AZ – In an opening week of baseball filled with many strong performances, three Urban Knights were selected for the Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. Sophomore infielder Stefen Henderson, junior infielder Jared DePatto and junior catcher Kenny Rollins, Jr. have all been recognized for their efforts in the Academy of Art-Concordia (CA) series last week. The honors were announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Feb. 7, for games contested on Feb. 1-6.

Henderson, who led the PacWest in hitting for the week with a .571 batting average, broke out for a big Opening Day performance. The Vallejo, CA native knocked in both ART U runs on Feb. 4 with the third triple of his career. In the second game of the series, Henderson brought home two more of his teammates with a sacrifice fly and an RBI single. He was 4-for-7 during the week with four runs batted in along with an .875 slugging percentage. The sophomore also reached base in half of his at-bats (.500 on-base percentage).



DePatto made a solid contribution for the Knights during the week as well. The junior infielder was 2-for-6 (.333) and posted a .333 slugging percentage. Like Henderson, DePatto turned in a .500 on-base average as he earned one walk, was hit by a pitch, and scored a run over the two games. It was a pitch that hit DePatto which initiated ART U's bases-loaded, no-out situation in the seventh inning of the second game. He scored the first of four Knights runs in that inning.




Rollins, Jr. registered the second highest batting average among Academy of Art players who had more than one at-bat. He went 2-for-5 (.400) with one run, one RBI, two walks, and a stolen base. Rollins, Jr. finished the week with the highest on-base average (.571) of any Urban Knight with more than one at-bat and slugged at a .400 clip. The Ayer, MA native drew both walks in the first game with one setting the table for Henderson and resulting in a run.

DePatto and Rollins, Jr. both earn their first PacWest Weekly selection of their respective careers. For Henderson, it is his second honor since donning the Urban Knight black and red.
