After Tying ART U Scoring Mark, Magga Makes Top 10

PacWest Release

Phoenix, AZ --
Margret Thorolfsdottir continued her rise to the top of the Academy of Art scoring charts with two more goals last week against Notre Dame de Namur. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 10 for matches contested on Oct. 2 - Oct. 8.

Margret Thorolfsdottir
Thorolfsdottir scored Thursday's matchup, the first goal on the day for the Knights that put them up 1-0 before ending in a 2-2 double overtime tie. She scored again in the match on Saturday, scoring in the 14th minute to put her at 12 points on the year, tied with fellow sophomore Hannah Emmett's 12-point mark set in 2010.

Thorolfsdottir, or "Magga" (pronounced Maka) to her teammates, currently ranks first on the Urban Knights in goals, and her six goals rank fifth in the PacWest. She is now alone at the top of the single-season goals chart for the program's short history, and there are still six games left on the season. Thorolfsdottir makes the Honor Roll for the third time this year, and second week in a row.
